Fri. 6/21/08 Cleaning kits are available at EMA. The kits include a broom, mop, sponge, Squeegee and other cleaning supplies.
Fri. 6/21/08 Morgan County Fairgrounds will accept flood debris until 7 p.m. Monday night

Wed. 6/18/08 More than 1,000 Martinsville homes have suffered flood damage and more than 200 may have to be destroyed, Mayor Phil Deckard said.

Boil Water Lifted. All water samples came back negative, showing good water conditions

Thurs. 6/12/08 The Martinsville City Transfer Station on Rose Street has been closed to the public due to the flooding. Anyone with flood-related trash is asked to take it to the Morgan County Fairgrounds, where there is a collection site.

Wed. 6/11/08 POWER- If can pass inspection of main electrical panel, main electrical breaker, meter base, and have a ground wire to a ground rod, call 349-4923 to make appt for your power to be restored. This is only to turn power back on.
Wed. 6/11/08 Duke Energy has been going door to door and they will restore power is main breaker is off, but will not check circuitry in house, it will be up to the home owner from there. You must be onsite for this to happen.
Wed. 6/11/08 State Board of Health advises: Wear sunscreen - Dump all standing water to avoid mosquitoes (West Nile)-   Wash thoroughly with soap and water
