  • Obtained the first Grant ever, for the City of Martinsville, to completely renovate the "downtown area" with installation of new streets, sidewalks, street lights, trees and infrastructure for the downtown area, and extending the renovation from West Morgan Street to the Morgan County YMCA on East Morgan Street.... 

  • Paved more streets and installed more sidewalks than any previous administration, working closely with members of the City Council  to insure an equal amount of paving & sidewalks accomplished in ALL parts of the city....unlike procedures followed by the previous Mayor....

  • Started a program to revamp and rebuild the city's water and sewer lines to provide greater water pressure and more service to entice growth and development, as well as better service to the citizens of this community....

  • Restructured the waste water treatment plant, after years of neglect, to provide better service to the community and allow for new hook-ons....

  • Introduced a Tree Committee to evaluate all trees within the city, and insure existing trees were not unnecessarily removed without plans for replacement....

  • Initiated infra-structure plans to develop property along State Highway #37, including extending new water and sewer lines, to allow developers to develop the "Birk" property now known as "Grand Valley Shopping Area", housing the new Wal-Mart and other businesses....

  • Served on the State Legislative Committee and worked hard to get passage of the "Food and Beverage Tax", as well as Indiana Lottery funds for the City of Martinsville, to assist in raising funds for infrastructure improvements....

  • Improved well sites for a better water supply for the city....

  • Purchased and modernized equipment owned and operated by city employees including, new Ladder Fire Truck ("Big Arty"), Trash Compactor Truck, Sani-Vac Truck (to help keep our sewers and man-holes clean and in good operating condition), street sweeper, Dump and Pick-Up Trucks, police vehicles (new on a rotational basis), and many other equipment items in all departments....

  • Continuation of Sidewalk and Curb Replacement Program for all residents of Martinsville, on a fair and equal basis....

  • Continuation of the Tree and Stump Removal Program....

  • Cooperating with community citizens to pick up large trash items on a regular basis....

  •  Working with the Youth of our community and listening to their ideas and suggestions....
