MINUTES

A motion was made by Boardmember Eric Bowlen to accept the Minutes of September 10, 2018.  Mayor Shannon Kohl seconded the motion.  The Motion passes 2-0.

OLD BUSINESS

None

NEW BUSINESS

Opening Bids for Sewer Project – City Engineer Josh Messmer announced he would be opening bids for the sewer project in the alley between Main and Jefferson.  Messmer opened the bids alphabetically.  Milestone Contractors bid $54,740.00.  Roberts Construction bid $35,000.00.  A motion to award the job to Roberts was made by Boardmember Eric Bowlen.  Mayor Kohl seconded the motion.  The Motion passes 2-0. (This item was not on the Agenda)

Salt Barn Proposal – City Engineer Josh Messmer presented a proposal for engineering services from Silver Creek Engineering, Inc.  Messmer explained a study is needed to determine if a structure at the Rogers Building would be structurally sound to be moved to the Street Department for the storage of salt, or if it would be better to construct a new building.  There is $200,000.00 in the 20158 Budget for this project.

Roger’s Building Demo Project – A motion to table this item was made by Mayor Kohl.  Boardmember Eric Bowlen seconded the motion.  The Motion passes 2-0.

ENGINEER REPORT

City Engineer Josh Messmer reported Wallace Construction is nearly finished with the Community Crossing Grant Project for this year.  There is a second and final change order in the amount of $5,994.72.  Local Road and Street funds will be used to cover the short-fall.  A motion to accept and allow the change order was made by Boardmember Eric Bowlen.  Mayor Kohl seconded the motion.  The Motion passes 2-0.

SEWER ADJUSTMENTS

  1. 860 E. Morgan Street, $200.83
  2. 409 S. Home Ave. Apt. #3; $98.42

A motion to accept and allow the Sewer Adjustments was made by Boardmember Eric Bowlen.  Mayor Kohl seconded the motion.  The Motion passes 2-0.

ADJOURN – There being no further business, Boardmember Eric Bowlen made the motion to adjourn.  Mayor Kohl seconded the motion. The Motion passes 2-0.
