MINUTES

A motion was made by Boardmember Eric Bowlen to accept the Minutes of November 19, 2018. Boardmember Terry Buster seconded the motion. The Motion passes 3-0.

OLD BUSINESS

Ohio Street LPA Contract – City Engineer Josh Messmer explained that INDOT to reconstruct Ohio Street and South Street. The total amount to be received is $815,796.74. HWC will be doing the preliminary engineering. The City will have to contribute 20% to the project (that amount is $163,159.35) Work will start after the first of the year. A motion to allow HWC to do both con-tracts was made by Boardmember Eric Bowlen. Boardmember Terry Buster seconded the motion. The Motion passes 3-0.

Silver Creek Engineering Contracts – City Engineer Josh Messmer presented two contracts for Silver Creek Engineering for the Salt Barn. The first contract is for design in the amount of $10,000.00. The second contract is for the architectural in the amount of $15,300.00. A motion to accept and allow both contracts was made by Boardmember Eric Bowlen. Boardmember Terry Buster seconded the motion. The Motion passes 3-0.

NEW BUSINESS

Bond Engagement / Reedy Financial Group – Mayor Kohl asked the Board of Public Works to approve a letter of engagement for RFG to explore the City’s bonding capacity that would allow the renovation of City Hall for the Police Department. She also explained other City offices will be relocating to the former Reporter building. A motion to allow the engagement was made by Boardmember Eric Bowlen with Boardmember Terry Buster seconding. The Motion passes 3-0.
