A motion was made by Boardmember Terry Buster to accept the Minutes of November 19, 2018. Mayor Shannon Kohl seconded the motion. The Motion passes 2-0.
Sidewalk LPA (Local Public Agency) Application – City Engineer Josh Messmer reported the City will apply for two Sidewalk LPA Grants. The Grant would be an 80/20 match. If awarded the grants, funding would be in 2024.
Utility Relocation Contract / HWC – City Engineer Josh Messmer explained the City’s utilities are in the right-of-way for 1-69. INDOT will reimburse the City for costs associated with mov ing the water and sewer lines. Troy Swan with HWC explained there is around 14,000 feet of water lines and 12,000 feet of sewer line. A motion to approve the contract with HWC was made by Mayor Shannon Kohl. Boardmember Terry Buster seconded the motion. The Motion passes 2-0.
Public Purchasing Statue – Mayor Kohl, City Attorney Anne Cowgur and City Engineer Josh Messmer have worked the last few months on a City-wide process for purchasing. A written process was presented to the Board of Works for approval. A motion to accept and allow the Purchasing Guideline was made by Mayor Shannon Kohl and seconded by Boardmember Terry Buster. The Motion passes 2-0.
South Street LPA (Local Public Agency) Projec t – City Engineer Josh Messmer requested the Board of Works formally engage United Consulting for the South Street LPA Project. A motion to accept and allow the contract was made by Boardmember Terry Buster. Mayor Shannon Kohl seconded the motion. Toe Motion passes 2-0.
City Engineer Josh Messmer explained to the Board of Works about a home on Morgan Street that is having foundation issues. The homeowner thinks the City may be responsible and the is sue is possibly linked to a drainage problem. The Board of Works asked Messmer to check out the problem.
There being no further business, Boardmember Terry Buster made the motion to adjourn. Mayor Shannon Kohl seconded the motion. The Motion passes 2-0.
