MINUTES

A motion was made by Boardmember Eric Bowlen to accept the Minutes of December 17, 201819, 2018.  Boardmember Terry Buster seconded the motion.  The Motion passes 3-0.

OLD BUSINESS

Mayor Kohl announced the next Board of Works meeting will be January 28, 2019 due to a conflict with a Plan Commission meeting.

NEW BUSINESS

Virginia Street Stormwater Bid Opening – City Engineer Josh Messmer reported ten Requests for Quotes had been sent for this project.  The City received six responses.  The bids were opened alphabetically.  The following bids were announced:

  1. Boyd & Company; $107,445.00
  2. DeWeese Construction; $129,243.00
  3. E & B; $146,641.00
  4. Milestone; $142,500.00
  5. Roberts Construction; $90,000.00
  6. Subsurface of Indiana; $110,750.00

Messmer suggested Roberts Construction ne awarded the project since they were the low bidder.  Also, no bond will be required as there will be only one payment. A motion to accept and allow Roberts Construction to do the project was made by Boardmember Eric Bowlen.  Boardmember Terry Buster seconded the motion.  The Motion passes 3-0.

LPA PE Agreements – City Engineer Josh Messmer presented two agreements with INDOT regarding South Street and Ohio Street.  A Motion to accept and allow both agreements was made by Boardmember Terry Buster.  Boardmember Terry Buster seconded the motion.  The Motion passes 3-0

SEWER ADJUSTMENTS

  1. 260 S. Mulberry St.; $25.93
  2. 489 Prather Dr.; $184.21
  3. 360 N. Marion St.; $969.57
  4. 675 N. Cherry St.; $170.90
  5. 659 S. Cherry St.; $3.33
  6. 809 E York St.; $137.65
  7. 180 Byram Blvd.; $43.22
  8. 160 Goodnight Rd.; $27.26

A motion to accept and allow the adjustments was by Boardmember Eric Bowlen.  Boardmember Terry Buster seconded the motion.  The Motion passes 3-0.
