MINUTES

A motion was made by Boardmember Terry Buster to accept the Minutes of January 7, 2019.  Mayor Shannon Kohl seconded the motion.  The Motion passes 2-0.

OLD BUSINESS

NEW BUSINESS

Best Western Signage – Building Inspector Brian Love reported the sign for Best Western must be moved because of I-69. There is a 10 (ten) foot set-back required by the City’s right of way.  City Attorney Anne Cowgur was asked to review the issue.  Cowgur said a special license may need to be issued.

Wolf Laurel Subdivision – City Engineer Josh Messmer reported Wolf Laurel is located on Lincoln Hill Road. They have installed water and sewer lines and are preparing to hook on-to City lines.  They have successfully tested the lines, which the City has verified at 80 psi.  Messmer recommended the City allowing the connections.  A motion to accept and allow the connections was made by Mayor Shannon Kohl.  Boardmember Terry Buster seconded the motion.  The Motion passes 2-0.

Community Crossing Grant Agreements – DES#1802448 and DES#18022437 – City Engineer Josh Messmer explained the two agreements are required by INDOT before the City can receive the grants.  A motion to accept and allow both agreements was made by Boardmember Terry Buster.  Mayor Shannon Kohl seconded the motion.  The Motion passes 2-0.

Taft Easement Engagement Letter – A motion to table this item was made by Mayor Shannon Kohl and seconded by Boardmember Terry Buster.  The Motion passes 2-0.

The following item was not on the Agenda

Emergency Repair / Legendary Hills – City Engineer Josh Messmer explained the recent repair at Legendary Hills was eroded.  To repair the problem permanently will cost approximately $125,000.00.  Messmer explained he would like funding to come from Fund 510 City Availability at 25% and Fund 512 Plant Expansion 75%.  Messmer requested the Board of Works declare this to be an emergency so repairs can start.  A motion to accept and allow the Legendary Hills project be declared an emergency and accept the funding was made by Boardmember Terry Buster.  Mayor Shannon Kohl seconded the motion.  The Motion passes 2-0.

A motion to accept and allow the adjustments was by Boardmember Terry Buster.  Mayor Shannon Kohl seconded the motion.  The Motion passes 2-0.
