Martinsville, Ind. – As warm weather makes its way through Martinsville, the City reminds residents of some spring cleaning procedures.

The Public Works Department would like to send out some “spring reminders” as the community begins cleaning up yards during warm-weather cleaning.

Here are a few items to note:

  • When cleaning up yards, all debris can be placed in a bag and set out on trash day, but the bagged debris needs to be set away from the normal trash.
  • If your alley needs cleaned up, please call 765-343-6110 to get on the City cleanup list that is housed with the Street Department.
  • When mowing your grass, please do not move grass clippings into the streets. This is not only hard on our storm sewers, but it is an ordinance violation.

The City asks that residents keep these items in mind as they begin spring cleaning with the warmer weather we are seeing.
