NEW BUSINESS
Preliminary Engineer Report (PER) – City Engineer Josh Messmer spoke briefly regarding the well-field for the City. Troy Swan of HWC is in attendance to discuss the PER. A motion to adjourn the Board of Works meeting was made by Boardmember Terry Buster. Mayor Kohl seconds the motion. The Motion passes 2-0. A motion to open the Public Hearing was made by Boardmember Terry Buster with Mayor Kohl making the second. The Motion passes 2-0.
PUBLIC HEARING
Troy Swan of HWC, opened the Public Hearing discussing the Water System Improvements for the City. Swan discussed current needs, future needs and various alternatives. Other talking points included storage requirements, distribution improvements, summary of costs, recommended plan, schedule of implementation and maps. Mayor Kohl called for Public Comments three times. Hearing none, a motion to close the Public Hearing was made by Boardmember Terry Buster. Mayor Kohl seconded the motion. The Motion passes 2-0.
A motion to reconvene the Board of Works meeting was made by Boardmember Terry Buster. Mayor Kohl seconded the motion. The Motion passes 2-0.
Resolution 2019-561 / Approving PER – A motion to accept and allow the PER (Preliminary Engineer Report) was made by Mayor Kohl. Boardmember Terry Buster seconded the motion. The Motion passes 2-0.
Resolution 2019-562 / SRF (State Revolving Fund) Loan Signatory– A motion to allow the City Engineer Josh Messmer, authorization to make an application to the SRF and to provide various required information was made by Boardmember Terry Buster. Mayor Kohl seconded the motion. The Motion passes 2-0.
Fireworks Contract / Melrose Pyrotechnics – A motion to accept and allow the contract for the July 4th Fireworks with Melrose Pyrotechnics was made by Boardmember Terry Buster. Mayor Kohl seconded the motion. The Motion passes 2-0.
