MINUTES

A motion was made by Boardmember Eric Bowlen to waive the reading of the Minutes of August 5, 2019 and to accept as written.  Boardmember Terry Buster seconded the motion.  The Motion passes 3-0.

NEW BUSINESS

New Hire Policy Notification Check List­ –  Deputy Clerk Ben Merida asked the Board of Works to approve the form that will assist new hires with benefits and wages; first pay, etc.  A motion to accept and allow was made by Boardmember Eric Bowlen with Boardmember Terry Buster making the second.  The Motion passes 3-0.

Property Check List – Deputy Clerk Ben Merida asked the Board of Works to approve the form that will allow the City to track what City equipment is given to employees.  A motion to accept and allow was made by Boardmember Eric Bowlen with Boardmember Terry Buster making the second.  The Motion passes 3-0.

On-Boarding / New Hires – This form will assist all departments with explaining benefits, wages, dates various benefits start and generally preparing new employees for a position with the City.  Deputy Clerk Ben Merida asked the Board of Works to approve the form.  A motion to accept and allow was made by Boardmember Eric Bowlen.  Boardmember Terry Buster seconded the motion.  The Motion passes 3-0.

Off-Boarding / Departing Employees – Deputy Clerk Ben Merida explained this form will be used when employees leave their position with the City.  Departing employees will be made aware of final pay and return City property.  A motion to accept and allow was made by Boardmember Eric Bowlen.  Boardmember Terry Buster made the second.  The Motion passes 3-0.

Funds for Paint and Electricity / New Building – Assistant Street Superintendent Bob Gilbreath requested funds that had been spent for gasoline by an employee that was transferred to another department be allowed to be spent for the upgrades.  The amount is just over $12,000.00.  A motion to accept and allow was made by Boardmember Eric Bowlen and seconded by Boardmember Terry Buster.  The Motion passes 3-0.

SEWER ADJUSTMENTS

A motion to accept and allow the sewer adjustments was made by Boardmember Eric Bowlen.  Boardmember Terry Buster seconded the motion.  The Motion passes 3-0.
