MINUTES
Mayor Costin presented the Minutes of Monday, July 12, 2021. By unanimous consent, the Minutes were approved.
NEW BUSINESS
Street Closing Request / Habitat for Humanity Home Tour – Mack Porter, Executive Assistant to Mayor Costin, presented the request to close Jefferson Street between Pike and Harrison Streets on October 23, 2021. Board member John Lillywhite made the motion to accept and allow. Mayor Costin seconded the motion. The Motion passed 2-0.
Street Closing Request / Fall Foliage Festival Parade and 5K Run – Mack Porter, Executive Assistant to Mayor Costin, presented the request to close the “parade route” streets for the Parade and 5k on October 10, 2021. Board member John Lillywhite made the motion to accept and allow. Mayor Costin seconded the motion. The Motion passed 2-0.
Traffic Study Report Regarding Four Way Stops at Victor and Charlotte Circle and Eric Court and Luford Street – Police Chief John Richards reported he has officers at the areas noted on several occasions to study the traffic. It is Chief Richards recommendation that four-way stops are not needed at this time.
Awarding Paving Bid – Superintendent Mac Dunn suggested the Board of Works accept the paving bid from Grady Brothers. The winning bid is $790,454.54. Board member John Lillywhite made the motion to accept and allow. Mayor Costin seconded the motion. The Motion passed 2-0.
Banning Engineering / White River Levee – Department of Planning and Engineering Gary Oakes presented a contract for the Board to consider for the levee. Board member John Lillywhite made the motion to accept and allow. Mayor Costin seconded the motion. The Motion passed 2-0.

There being no objections, the following were approved by unanimous consent.
