Mayor Costin presented the Minutes of Monday, September 13, 2021. By unanimous consent, the Minutes were approved.

Street Closing Request / Bobby Helms Jingle Bell Rock Christmas Spectacular and Third Annual Tree Lighting – Mack Porter, Executive Assistant to Mayor Costin led the discussion to allow portions of Washington and Jefferson Streets as well as the inside Square to be closed on December 4th from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. A motion to accept and allow was made by Board member John Lillywhite. Board member Kelly Bray seconded the motion. The Motion passes 3-0.
NEW BUSINESS
Tort Claim to City’s Insurance Provider – City Attorney Dale Coffey asked that a tort claim be forwarded to the City’s insurance provider. A motion to accept and allow was made by Board member Kelly Bray. Seconding the motion was Board member John Lillywhite. The Motion passes 3-0.
Mitchell & Stark / Change Order #6- Gary Oakes, Department of Planning and Engineering, requested the Board to approve the supplemental agreement that will allow for the purchase of a generator to allow residents in the Hacker Creek area to have water when the power is out. A motion to accept and allow was made by Board member John Lillywhite. Board member Kelly Bray seconded the motion. The Motion passes 3-0.
Letter of Intent / Meridiam Infrastructure North America Corporation- Deputy Clerk BenMerida, requested the Board to approve the letter of intent. Meridiam Infrastructure North American Corporation will be providing fiber optics to the City at no cost. A motion to accept and allow was made by Board member John Lillywhite. Making the second was Board member Kelly Bray. The Motion passes 3-0.
OPENING OF BIDS
Demolition of Structures of City-Owned Properties on South Street – Gary Oakes, Department of Planning and Engineering, opened the following bids: Broyer Construction, $44,600.00 and Lafary Group, $27948.99.
Clearing Contracts for the Removal of Trees and Fences on South Street – Gary Oakes, Department of Planning and Engineering opened the following bids: Williams Construction, $28,525.00; Cramer Tree, $47,657.00 and Lafary Group, $12,474.59.
The above bids will be reviewed and Mr. Oakes will present his recommendation to the Board on October 12, 2021.
