The Martinsville Plan Commission was called to order by Commission Attorney Dale Coffey at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, in the Common Council Chambers of City Hall, Martinsville, IN.

APPOINTMENT OF OFFICERS FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2022:
MOTION: Katie Barnard made a motion to elect Tom Williams as Chairman. The motion was seconded by Gary Carrell and passed unanimously.
MOTION: Marilyn Siderewicz made a motion to elect Ben Rawlins as Vice-Chairman. The motion was seconded by Rick Heacock and passed unanimously.
MOTION: Katie Barnard made a motion to elect Marilyn Siderewicz as Secretary. The motion was seconded by Ann Miller and passed unanimously.
At this time, Ben Rawlins, Vice-Chairman, conducted the meeting.
PRESENTATION OF MINUTES DATED: December 28, 2021
MOTION: A motion was made by Troy Swan to approve the minutes of the December 28, 2021, Meeting. Rick Heacock seconded the motion which passed unanimously.

Ron Stanhouse made the presentation to the Plan Commission. Mr. Stanhouse said he would ask for the city’s approval to remodel a building located at 60-70-80 West Washington St., in the city’s historic downtown district. He would like to install larger windows on the second floor and remodel the back half of the first floor and the interior of the entire second floor. Smaller windows are planned on the north and east walls. Several people have expressed an interest in renting the rooms. This is a 10,000 sq. ft. building.
MOTION: A motion was made by Ann Miller to approve the request of the Red Brick Trading Company, Ron Stanhouse, for remodeling of the building at 60-70-80 W. Washington Street. Gary Carrell seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
2. Docket #PC22001: Preliminary Plat Approval Hanna Farms Subdivision:
Legal Description: S10 T11 R1E Pt Ne 84.85 acres; Parcel ID #55-13-10-200-001.
000-023; Owner: R&M Hanna Farms, Inc.; Buyer in contract: Forestar (USA)
Real Estate Group, Inc.; Melissa Garrard, Entitlements Manager
Melissa Garrard made the presentation to the Commission. Ms. Garrard provided the commission with an update on the proposed Hanna Farms subdivision. There was a small amendment to the original. City Engineer Troy Swan approved the amendment. The right-of-way width of 60 ft. was changed to a 50 ft. right-of-way. This will go to City Council for final approval.
MOTION: Katie Barnard made a motion for a favorable primary plat approval from the City Council regarding the Hanna Farms Subdivision. This motion was seconded by Ann Miller and passed. Troy Swan did not vote due to conflict of interest.
The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Martinsville Plan Commission will be at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, March 22, 2022.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned with a motion made by Ann Miller, seconded by Rick Heacock, and passed unanimously.
