MINUTES
Mayor Costin presented the Minutes of July 11, 2022. A motion to accept and allow was made by Board member Kelly Bray. Board member John Lillywhite seconded the motion. The Motion passes 3-0.
NEW BUSINESS
Recommendation of Bids for Demolition – City Building Inspector Bob Strader asked the Board to award the bid for 90 S. Sycamore Street to LaFary Group, in the amount of $5.900.00. A motion to accept and allow was made by Board member John Lillywhite. Seconding the motion was Board member Kelly Bray. The Motion passes 3-0. No action was taken on 110 W. Morgan Street.
Bid Opening for Recovery Works Grant Project aka Stability First – Carrie Riley of ARa reported one bid has been received. Weddle Brothers bid was $1,797,400.00. Action may occur at a future meeting.
Bid Opening of 2022 Paving Projects– City Superintendent Mac Dunn opened the following paving bids:
- E&B Paving – $1,831,506.80
- Milestone – $1,695,382.00
- Wallace Construction – $1,312,431.38
- Grady Brothers – $1,586,665.70
Action will occur at a future meeting.
WCBK Christmas Parade-Mack Porter Executive Assistant to the Mayor presented the request by WCBK to host a Christmas Parade on November 26th from 5:00 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. The parade will end at the Jimmy Nash City Park in time for the holiday lighting.
Consideration of Agreement with 120Water– Steve Smith of 120Water explained his company would do software mapping of water lines in the city. This due to new EPA requirements to identify and remove lead lines. A motion to accept and allow was made by Board member John Lillywhite. Seconding the motion was Board member Kelly Bray. The Motion passes 3-0.
