A regular meeting of the Martinsville Redevelopment Commission (RDC) met at 7:30 am on Wednesday, Jan 11, 2023, in the Council Chambers at Martinsville City Hall.
Roll Call:
Commission members: Dair Grant, Rich Griswold, Paul Lauck (absent), Phil Deckard, Alan Myers were in attendance. Also in attendance were Dakota VanLeeuwn, Gary Oaks, Mayor Costin
Meeting called to order by President Dair Grant.
Approval of Minutes:
The minutes of the Dec 2022 meeting were discussed.

Approval of Claims:
Motion to approve claims of $24,318.75. Motion made by Al Myers. Seconded by Rich Griswold .

Engineer’s Report:
SR 44 water sewer project- Boring under roadway will start soon
Hacker Dr. project bids were rejected by RDC. Motion to reject bids made by Rich Griswold. Seconded by Phil Deckard passed 4-0
Discussion of various projects. No action needed
RDC portion for funding for the upgrade of Hilldale Cemetery Ditch is $102417
Motion to approve funding made by Al Myers and seconded by Phil Deckard approved 4-0

Motion to Retain and Approve Al Myers and Rich Griswold as Secretary and Vice President. Motion made by Phil Deckard and seconded by Rich Griswold approved 4-0
The President position will be held in February after the city council’s approval of Dair Grant being nominated to the RDC board.
Attorney Report:
Attorney Dakota VanLeeuwen announced her resignation as attorney for RDC. She had a career promotion. Dair Grant and Rich Griswold volunteered to do interviews for new attorneys.
