MINUTES
Mayor Costin presented the Minutes of August 14, 2023. Board member Kelly Bray made the motion to approve the minutes. Mayor Costin seconded the motion. The motion passed 2-0.
NEW BUSINESS
WCBK Christmas Parade: Mack Porter Executive Assistant to Mayor Costin presented the request for a streeting closing for the WCBK Christmas Parade. The event will take place on November 25, 2023 beginning at 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. The staging will be the CEC building at 389 E. Jackson Street. The parade will proceed to Washington Street to Home Avenue, ending at Jimmy Nash City Park.
Resolution 2023-0045 / Clearing of Uncollectible Utility Accounts: Deputy Clerk Ben Merida presented the resolution. A motion to approve was made by Board member Kelly Bray. Mayor Costin seconded the motion. The motion passed 2-0.
V3 / Skatepark Master Plan: Mack Porter Executive Assistant to Mayor Costin presented the proposal. A motion to approve the agreement with V3 was made by Board member Kelly Bray. Seconding the motion was Mayor Costin. The motion passed 2-0.
Stop Sign at Harmon and Prather Drives: Mayor Costin shared that Council President Phil Deckard II is requesting a stop sign be placed at Harmon and Prather Drives as opposed to a yield sign. Board member Kelly Bray asked that Police Chief John Richards study the area to determine if a stop sign is needed. Mayor Costin seconded the motion. The motion passes 2-0.
Purchase Agreement with Jefferson Township Volunteer Fire Company of Lackawaanna County, Pennsylvania / 2011 Ferrara Intruder Rescue Pumper Fire Truck: – City Attorney Dale Coffey presented the agreement in the amount of $240,000.00. A motion to approve was made by Board member Kelly Bray. Mayor Costin seconded the motion. The motion passed 2-0.
SEWER ADJUSTMENTS
A to accept and allow the following sewer adjustments was made by Board member Kelly Bray. Mayor Costin seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
